I much prefer to work from the original photograph which I can scan in at a high resolution, thus giving me the best chance of restoring the image to a high quality.  If you have an original photograph please post it to us following the instructions given below. If you are going to scan in a photograph yourself please read our scanning hints first. If you already have an electronic copy of the image please attach it to an email and send it to: info@upstylephots.com  When I receive your photograph I will get back to you with a quote for the required work by email or telephone. The cost will depend entirely on the amount of time it will take to make the corrections required to the image.  You do not have to pay until you are completely satisfied with the restored image. Scanning Make sure that the glass is clean with no marks, finger prints or smudges. Set the scan to be colour even if you are scanning in a black and white photograph.  Scan at the highest possible resolution. Turn off any adjustments your scanner may have for sharpness, colours or contrast. Scan at the same size do not reduce it. Save the file as a .TIFF file if possible otherwise a .JPEG at the highest possible quality.   Posting us a photograph Remove the photograph from any frame it is in. Place it in a clear sealed waterproof bag then within a board backed envelope.  If the envelope does not have “Do not bend”  printed on it please write this on it in large lettering. Post it to the address on our Contact page. We would recommend that you also put your own address on the outside in case it is returned. For safety we would recommend using “Signed for” or “Recorded Delivery” Please ensure that along with the photograph you provide your contact details; name, address, telephone and email address if you have one. We will scan the original photograph that you send us and work on the digital scanned image.  Your original photograph will be returned to you in the same condition that you sent it.

Testimonials

Professional, fast and great results! Garry done a great job restoring old family photos which were faded, ripped and hard to see. We are ecstatic with the results, digital and printed copies look fantastic. Would highly recommend :-) Miss McClymont (Cardenden) Garry did a fantantstic job repairing a photo of my late mother and my daughter. Since my mother passed away while my daughter was young our photos of them are limited. This one was special to us but because of the colour block across it, it was spoiled. Garry has removed that and restored the colour balance in the photo and it is now a treasured photo for me and my daughter of times with her grandmother. Amazing work Garry! Thank you so much.
